The chief executive officer of the NUG Abdullah Abdullah expressed concerns over Moscow summit and the political movements’ determination for talks with the Taliban group, saying “such talks, make Taliban stubborn to continue war”.

“The government entity should not be weakened for personal reasons,” Abdullah said at a press conference.
Mr Abdullah also implicitly referred to Pakistan and said this country has always wanted a weak government in Afghanistan.

Speaking about Moscow meeting, he added that “if Taliban want peace, why they are not negotiating with the government”.
“The nature of the Taliban group has not changed and has always called for an Islamic Emirate, which no one in this homeland wants to return to that type of government,”
“The USA is not a country that would believe Taliban’s words with a promise or to ignore all achievements and spends of the international community and leave Afghanistan alone,”

CE Abdullah further said that some are looking to hold Loya Jirga and creating an interim government.
“They think the interim administration will be created once again the same as past,” he added.
