Gunmen attacked Tuesday morning doctors without borders’ clinic in Dash-e Barchi of capital Kabul, followed by three back-to-back blasts in the area.
Afghan Ministry of Interior confirmed the attack, saying unknown gunmen attacked doctors without borders’ clinic in Dasht-e Barchi area of Kabul.
Interior Ministry spokesman Tariq Arian said that the security forces rescued over 40 people, but a number of people are still trapped.
Sources in the area say three blasts occurred and the Special Forces arrived to curb the attack.
According to reports, 5 civilians were killed and 4 others were wounded in the attack.
Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid said the attack in Dasht-e Barchi area of Kabul city has no relation with the group.
The attack comes a day after Afghan Security forces on Monday arrested key ISIS leaders.
