Taliban group in a statement on Saturday evening rejected any involvement in the attack on communications ministry.
According to the Afghan Interior Ministry, suicide bombers attacked MCIT’s post office building at 11:40 am (local time). The attack first begun with an explosion and then followed by sporadic gunfire between the attackers and the Afghan security forces.

Zabihullah Mujahid, who introduces himself as Taliban spokesman, meanwhile, said in a statement that the Saturday attack in Kabul has no business with the group.
The Public Health Ministry spokesman Wahid Mayar said that at least 6 people have been wounded in gunmen’s attack on MCIT.

Interior Ministry’s spokesman Nusrat Rahimi said all buildings surrounding the MCIT have been evacuated but the communications ministry’s building has not been completely evacuated.
“Two suicide bombers have been killed and operations going on to eliminate the remaining,” the Interior Ministry said in a statement.
