War Against Iran Removes 500M Barrels of Oil From Global Market

DID Press: The war involving US and Israel against Iran has so far removed approximately 500 million barrels of crude oil from global supply, according to data from analytics firm Kpler, in what some reports describe as one of the largest energy supply disruptions in modern history.

An analysis by Reuters stated that the scale of this reduction is equivalent to one of the following benchmarks:

  • Five days of total global oil consumption
  • Nearly one month of oil demand in the United States
  • More than one month of oil consumption in Europe

This substantial decline in supply has emerged as one of the most significant economic consequences of the conflict, heightening concerns about pressure on energy markets and increased volatility in global oil prices.
