DID Press: Jon Ossoff, a Democratic senator from the state of Georgia, has sharply criticized Donald Trump over what he described as contradictory and false statements regarding the war with Iran, accusing the former president of systematically misleading the American public.

Speaking at a campaign rally in Georgia, Ossoff said citizens are being “kept further from reality than ever before” due to repeated misinformation.
He outlined a series of Trump’s statements made at different stages of the conflict, including claims that the war was “completely over,” that victory had been achieved or was imminent, and that operations would soon conclude. He also cited later remarks asserting “total victory” and claims regarding the reopening of strategic waterways, which he said contradicted concurrent reports on the ground.
Ossoff described these shifting narratives as part of a broader pattern of misinformation that has created confusion about the actual state of the conflict and its geopolitical consequences.
