Pakistani Editor: Iran’s Confrontation with US Revives “Hussainism” Spirit

DID Press: The editor of Daily Dunya has written in an opinion piece that Iran’s recent confrontation with United States has revived what he describes as the global spirit of “Hussainism.”

The article states that “Hussainism” is not limited to any sect or ideological school, but represents a broader philosophy of resistance against oppression, brutality, and the arrogance of power.

According to the author, this mindset—rooted in faith and disregard for material power—has historically enabled resistance against dominant global forces.

The Pakistani commentator further argues that Iran’s current stance against U.S. pressure reflects this approach and demonstrates how “moral and spiritual power” can challenge stronger geopolitical actors.

The remarks come amid ongoing regional tensions that continue to highlight the role of regional states in shaping broader global power dynamics.
