DID Press: At least two security personnel were killed in a militant attack on a joint army and police checkpoint in Lakki Marwat district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, according to local reports.
The assault targeted a security post in the region on Thursday, leaving several others injured, officials and local sources said. No group has claimed responsibility for the attack so far.
However, in recent years, the Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan has frequently carried out similar attacks against Pakistani security forces in the area.
Authorities have launched an investigation, while security operations in the district are expected to be tightened following the incident.
