Former Afghan Special Forces Officer Found Dead in UK

DID Press: A former Afghan special forces officer has been found dead in the United Kingdom, with police treating the case as a suspected murder.

According to The Sun, 33-year-old Abdul Wali Mamoozi was discovered last week in a parking area in Bracknell.

Police said his body was found on April 26 near a railway and bus station. Four men aged between 27 and 35 were arrested on suspicion of murder and assault but were later released on bail while investigations continue.

His wife, Habiba Haidari, who is pregnant, said he failed to return home on the night of the incident and did not respond to repeated calls. She added that concern grew when calls began connecting but received no answer.

Local sources reported that Mamoozi was involved in an altercation near a pub shortly before his death.

He left Afghanistan following the Fall of Kabul and was resettled in the United Kingdom under a relocation program. Reports indicate he previously worked alongside British forces and had received military training with United States Special Forces.
