DID Press: At least four Pakistani police officers were killed and several others wounded after a suicide car bombing targeted a police checkpoint in northwestern Pakistan, security sources said.

According to preliminary reports from Pakistani media, the attack struck the “Fateh Khel” police post in the Bannu district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The attackers reportedly detonated a vehicle packed with explosives near the checkpoint, triggering a massive blast that was heard across surrounding areas and damaged nearby residential houses.
Witnesses said the police post was completely destroyed, raising fears that additional security personnel may still be trapped beneath the rubble as rescue operations continue.
Security forces also exchanged fire with suspected militants following the explosion, with clashes reportedly ongoing in the area.
Police officials confirmed that several bodies had been recovered from the debris, though the final casualty toll has not yet been officially announced.
No group has immediately claimed responsibility for the attack.
