First Phase of University Entrance Exam Begins Across 15 Afghanistan Provinces
DID Press: General Directorate of Examinations under the Taliban administration has announced the official launch of the first round of the 2026 national university entrance exam (Kankor), covering 15 provinces across Afghanistan.

According to the authority, biometric registration of candidates was completed ahead of the exam, and testing will continue in these provinces through the following day.
The first phase is being conducted in Maidan Wardak, Parwan, Ghazni, Kunar, Baghlan, Faryab, Badghis, Logar, Kapisa, Paktika, Herat, Sar-e-Pul, Uruzgan, Ghor, and five examination zones in Badakhshan.
Officials said the process of biometric verification took place on 22–23 May, ensuring all eligible candidates were properly registered before the examinations began.
