Turkey Issues 20,000 Work Visas for Afghan Citizens

DID Press: Turkey has announced the issuance of approximately 20,000 work visas for citizens of Afghanistan as part of efforts to address labor shortages and strengthen key sectors of its economy.

Turkish officials said the decision is aimed at meeting workforce demands in industries facing structural labor gaps, particularly in construction, manufacturing, agriculture, services, and technical occupations.

According to reports, a significant portion of the approved visas will be allocated to Afghan workers in sectors where domestic labor supply remains insufficient.

Authorities in Turkey stated that increasing reliance on foreign labor has become necessary due to shortages in several parts of the national economy.
