Putin Set for Official China Visit
DID Press: Vladimir Putin is set to travel to China within the next three days at the invitation of Xi Jinping, according to China’s Foreign Ministry.

Chinese officials said the official visit will take place from May 19 to May 20 and coincides with the 25th anniversary of the Treaty of Good-Neighborliness and Friendly Cooperation between Moscow and Beijing.
During the visit, Putin and Xi are expected to discuss bilateral relations, expansion of strategic partnership and cooperation, as well as key regional and international developments.
The two leaders will also attend the opening ceremony of the “Russia–China Years of Education 2026–2027” initiative.
According to officials, several joint statements and intergovernmental agreements are expected to be signed following the talks.
Putin is also scheduled to meet Li Qiang to discuss trade and economic cooperation between the two countries.
The visit comes only days after Donald Trump traveled to Beijing for high-level talks with Chinese leaders.
