Zabul Launches 100M AFN Agricultural and Commercial Complex Investment
DID Press: A major agricultural, livestock, and commercial complex project has officially been launched in Shah Joy district of Zabul province with a private sector investment of 100 million Afghanis.

The project, implemented by the company Abad Keshvar Company, is being constructed on 300 jeribs of land and will include modern farming facilities, livestock units, and cold storage infrastructure.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by the Minister of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock, Mawlawi Attaullah Omari, who stated that the ministry is prepared to support investors by providing land and facilitating project implementation, emphasizing private sector participation as a key driver of economic development.
According to officials, the project is expected to boost agricultural and livestock production, create employment opportunities for local residents, and contribute to food self-sufficiency and economic growth in Zabul province.
Company representatives said the development will be implemented in multiple phases, including the establishment of modern farms, livestock production units, and agricultural cold storage facilities.
Authorities have also encouraged further private investment in agriculture and infrastructure development across the country to support long-term economic sustainability.
