Pezeshkian Praises Afghanistan, Pakistan and Iraq for Regional Security Cooperation

DID Press: Masoud Pezeshkian has praised the security cooperation of Afghanistan, Pakistan and Iraq, describing their efforts to prevent hostile groups from using their territories against Iran as an important contribution to regional stability.

According to a statement released by the Iranian Embassy in Kabul, Pezeshkian made the remarks during a meeting with Pakistan’s interior minister, where the two sides discussed regional security coordination and cross-border cooperation.

The Iranian president said the responsibility shown by neighboring countries in countering threats and preventing destabilizing activities reflects a commitment to regional peace and constructive engagement.

He specifically thanked the governments of Afghanistan, Pakistan and Iraq, calling their cooperation an example of good neighborly relations and coordinated regional interaction.

Pezeshkian also emphasized the importance of continued consultations and expanded political and security cooperation among neighboring states, stressing that confronting shared threats requires mutual trust and close coordination.
