Two US Navy Fighter Jets Collide and Crash During Idaho Air Show

DID Press: Two advanced US Navy fighter jets collided and crashed during an aerial demonstration in the state of Idaho, American officials confirmed.

According to the U.S. Navy, the incident involved two EA-18G Growler aircraft performing maneuvers during the “Gunfighter Skies” air show near Mountain Home Air Force Base.

Officials said the collision occurred late Sunday during the second and final day of the event. All four crew members aboard the aircraft successfully ejected before the crash and survived.

Military authorities stated that the condition of the crew members is stable, although no further details were released regarding possible injuries.

The crash reportedly triggered a fire at the scene, prompting temporary security lockdown measures at the base. Organizers later canceled the remainder of the air show program.

United States Navy said an investigation into the cause of the midair collision is underway and findings will be released after the inquiry is completed.

Local organizers confirmed that no personnel on the ground inside the military base were injured during the incident.

The “Gunfighter Skies” air show had last been held in 2018, when a glider pilot was killed in a separate accident during the event.
