Israeli Navy on Alert to Intercept Gaza-bound “Sumud” Flotilla
DID Press: Israeli naval forces have been placed on high alert to intercept the “Sumud” flotilla en route to Gaza, according to Hebrew media reports.

The Israeli newspaper Maariv reported, citing a security source, that the navy is preparing to stop vessels belonging to the “Sumud” convoy, which aims to challenge the blockade on Gaza in the Mediterranean Sea.
According to the report, the Israeli military intends to intercept the ships in international waters before they enter areas under its control.
Activists aboard the flotilla said unidentified vessels and fast boats have already been positioned near their convoy after it entered international waters.
The “Sumud” flotilla departed last Thursday from the Turkish port of Marmaris with 54 ships carrying dozens of human rights activists from around 70 countries.
The development has heightened tensions over maritime access to Gaza, where humanitarian restrictions and naval blockades remain a central point of international dispute.
