Taliban Official: Afghanistan Holds Key Role in Regional Trade Corridors
DID Press: Abdul Latif Nazari, deputy minister of economy in the Taliban administration, says Afghanistan has the potential to become a major regional transit and connectivity hub linking Central Asia, South Asia, and West Asia.

Speaking to Sputnik, Nazari said Afghanistan’s geographic position and geoeconomic capacity place it at the center of emerging regional economic corridors.
He added that Afghanistan and Russia share common interests across multiple sectors, arguing that cooperation between the two sides extends beyond bilateral relations and carries broader geopolitical significance for the region.
Nazari stressed that Afghanistan could play an important role in strengthening regional trade and transit connectivity by serving as a key route for economic integration among neighboring countries.
The Taliban official also claimed that Afghanistan is currently among the safest countries in the region and said the administration has provided security guarantees for foreign investment and economic cooperation.
