DID Press: Pakistan’s Field Marshal Asim Munir is reportedly traveling to Tehran for a second time in recent days as part of renewed diplomatic efforts aimed at facilitating mediation between Iran and the United States, according to Pakistani media sources.

The report, cited by Pakistani outlet Uni News, states that the visit is part of Islamabad’s broader initiative to play a mediating role in easing tensions between Iran and United States.
According to security sources, the trip follows a series of back-to-back engagements that began in Islamabad and were continued through an earlier visit to Tehran, where Munir held meetings with senior Iranian officials.
Officials familiar with the matter said the ongoing exchanges are focused on conveying messages between the two sides, assessing responses, and attempting to prevent further escalation in regional tensions.
Pakistani media outlets, including Geo News and Dawn, have previously reported that Islamabad has taken on an active role in de-escalation efforts between Tehran and Washington, with the army chief serving as a central figure in these backchannel discussions.
