Taliban Says Military Cooperation With Russia Set to Begin
DID Press: Mohammad Yaqoob Mujahid announced that the implementation of a military cooperation agreement between the Taliban and Russia is expected to begin in the near future following his return from an international security meeting in Moscow.

Speaking at Kabul International Airport, Mujahid said discussions with Russian officials in Moscow focused on the modalities for implementing the agreement, adding that operational steps are likely to start in the coming days.
The Taliban defense minister described the Moscow security forum as an opportunity to exchange views on regional security issues and strengthen bilateral cooperation, particularly in defense and security sectors.
The Moscow International Security Conference brought together senior defense and security officials from several countries to discuss regional stability, cross-border threats, and expanded security cooperation.
The announcement comes amid a gradual expansion of contacts between Kabul and Moscow in recent months, with both sides repeatedly emphasizing broader cooperation in political, economic, and security fields.
