Milad Steel Factory Opens Official Iron Plant Representation in Balkh
DID Press: An official representative office of the Milad Steel iron smelting factory has been inaugurated in northern Balkh Province with the participation of Taliban officials and private sector representatives, marking an expansion of industrial outreach in the region.

According to company officials, Milad Steel was established about six years ago in Kabul with an investment of $3 million and has since grown into one of the country’s active steel producers.
The company reports that it has created employment for more than 700 people directly and continues to play a significant role in Afghanistan’s industrial and steel production sector.
The new Balkh office is expected to improve distribution networks, reduce transportation costs, and enhance customer access across northern Afghanistan.
Industry experts say the establishment of provincial-level industrial representations could strengthen supply chains and support broader economic activity in the country.
