Le Monde: Conflict Strengthened Iran’s Cohesion and State Resilience

DID Press: French newspaper Le Monde has reported that the recent conflict involving the United States and Israel against Iran did not weaken the country’s political structure but instead reinforced domestic cohesion and strengthened the resilience of its security and military institutions.

According to the report, expectations that military pressure could destabilize or undermine the Iranian system did not materialize. Instead, the conflict is said to have consolidated power around the political leadership in Tehran and increased the influence of security and military bodies.

The newspaper argued that the outcome contrasted with assumptions that external pressure would lead to internal fragmentation, suggesting that the confrontation contributed to greater national solidarity and institutional durability.

The analysis further noted that wartime conditions often reshape political dynamics, and in Iran’s case, the conflict appears to have strengthened key state structures rather than weakened them.
