India Summons US Diplomat Over Alleged Attack on Indian Oil Tanker

DID Press: India’s Ministry of External Affairs has summoned the US chargé d’affaires in New Delhi and requested an official explanation regarding an alleged attack by American forces on an Indian oil tanker off the coast of Oman.

According to the report, India’s foreign ministry called in Jason Mix to formally convey New Delhi’s concerns over the incident.

Indian media reported that Nagaraj Naidu met with the American diplomat and sought clarification on the circumstances surrounding the reported attack.

New Delhi also emphasized the importance of maritime security and adherence to international law in regional waters, stressing the need to protect commercial shipping routes.

The reported diplomatic move comes amid heightened regional tensions and growing concerns over the security of maritime trade corridors in the region.
