Five-Star Movement Demands Action Against Israeli Minister Ben-Gvir
DID Press: Italy’s Five-Star Movement has urged the Italian government to take a stronger stance against Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir, including imposing sanctions and moving toward suspending the European Union’s partnership with Israel.

The appeal follows what the party described as violations of the rights of Italian activists participating in the “Global Sumud Flotilla” aimed at breaking the blockade of the Gaza Strip, as well as remarks attributed to Ben-Gvir that were considered offensive toward Italy.
Party representatives said Rome should adopt a more decisive position in response to developments involving the flotilla participants and broader regional tensions.
The statement adds to growing political debate within Europe over relations with Israel amid the ongoing conflict in Gaza and heightened diplomatic pressure from civil society groups and political movements.
