DID Press: Naim Qassem has stated that Iran, despite sustained pressure and Israeli attacks, has become a decisive force in shaping the future of the region, while describing the resistance as the core pillar of Lebanon’s independence.

Qassem said Iran’s ability to withstand external pressure and reach a recent agreement reflects what he called a “formal defeat” of the United States and Israel.
He emphasized that the resistance movement remains the foundation of Lebanon’s sovereignty, adding that efforts to isolate it have failed as it continues to operate within the broader regional axis of resistance.
The Hezbollah leader warned that any attempts to disarm the resistance would be met with full opposition.
Qassem also expressed support for Arab and international initiatives aimed at rebuilding Lebanon, strengthening the national army, fully removing occupying forces, and forming a unified front against Israel.
He urged Lebanese authorities not to adopt policies aligned with US and Israeli interests, while stating that Hezbollah is ready to cooperate with the government to achieve what he called “true national sovereignty.”
In another part of his remarks, Qassem paid tribute to the people of Gaza, praising their resilience and describing their struggle as a defining moment in the broader Palestinian cause.
