Iran Expands Strikes on US Military Sites Across Gulf Region

DID Press: Iran has launched a new wave of reported missile and drone strikes against US military facilities across the Gulf region, with Iranian officials describing the attacks as retaliation for recent US military actions. Reports from Iranian and regional sources indicate that targets were hit in Bahrain, Kuwait, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, and Iraq, although many of the claims have not been independently verified.

According to Iranian state media and regional reports, missile and drone attacks targeted US military installations and related facilities across several Middle Eastern countries overnight, marking a significant escalation in regional tensions.

Kuwait’s Ministry of Defense reportedly said several military facilities were struck by drone attacks, leaving a number of service members injured. Iraqi sources also reported fresh explosions at US positions in Erbil, while Arab media reported strikes targeting US-linked sites in Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, and Bahrain.

In a statement, Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) claimed it had destroyed a US unmanned vessel depot and an artificial intelligence center in Bahrain.

Separately, the Iranian Army announced the 14th phase of Operation Saeqeh, saying drone strikes had targeted US ammunition depots at Al Udeid Camp in Iraq, Ali Al Salem Air Base in Kuwait, and fuel storage facilities at Al Azraq Air Base in Jordan. Iranian military officials described the installations as key US operational hubs and warned that any challenge to Iran’s national will would receive a decisive response.

Regional media also reported explosions near the industrial port of Yanbu in Saudi Arabia, at US facilities in Al Kharj, and near the US Fifth Fleet headquarters in Bahrain, where air raid sirens were reportedly activated. These reports have not been independently confirmed.

In the maritime domain, the IRGC claimed that two oil tankers exploded after entering a mined route south of the Strait of Hormuz, while four other vessels were intercepted during what it described as a combined missile and drone operation. These claims likewise remain unverified by independent sources.
