DID Press: Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has warned countries hosting US military forces to prepare for what it described as a “proportionate response” if their territory is used in military operations against Iran.
In a statement issued on Saturday, the IRGC urged host nations to activate their civil defense systems and keep civilians away from what it called “potential targets.”
The IRGC asserted that recent US military operations against Iran had been launched from the territory of those countries, claiming that no effective international mechanism exists to prevent such attacks.
The warning follows Iran’s earlier announcement that it had carried out missile and drone strikes against US positions in Bahrain, Kuwait, and Jordan. Those claims have not been independently verified.
Tensions between Tehran and Washington have escalated sharply in recent days, with both sides continuing to exchange military strikes.
