DID Press: A senior political official of Yemen’s Ansar Allah movement has claimed that the United States shifted away from military threats against Iran due to concerns over Tehran’s defensive capabilities and the consequences of a wider confrontation.
Hazam al-Assad, a senior member of Ansar Allah’s political bureau, criticized recent statements by US President Donald Trump, saying Washington’s change in tone from threats to calls for peace reflects its inability to bear the potential consequences of a large-scale conflict with Iran.
Al-Assad claimed that Iran’s deterrence capabilities had pushed the United States away from military options and toward diplomatic approaches.
