DID Press: Qatar’s Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani will travel to Tehran Thursday (August 27), to discuss de-escalating tensions and creating conditions for the resumption of negotiations between Iran and the US.

Majed Al Ansari, spokesperson for Qatar’s Foreign Ministry, said Sheikh Mohammed will meet with Iranian officials to discuss ways to reduce tensions and facilitate dialogue.
Iran has also confirmed the visit, saying Qatar’s mediation efforts and regional developments will be among the main topics of discussion.
Qatar has emphasized that diplomacy remains the best way to resolve disputes and strengthen regional security and stability.
