Pakistan’s ANP Calls for Diplomatic Solution to Tensions With Afghanistan

DID Press: Aimal Wali Khan, president of Pakistan’s Awami National Party (ANP), has urged the government to resolve tensions with Afghanistan and other neighboring countries through dialogue and diplomacy, stressing that war cannot provide a permanent solution to political disputes.

Khan expressed concern over deteriorating relations between Islamabad and Kabul, saying continued tensions have inflicted the greatest harm on people on both sides of the border, particularly residents of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan.

He emphasized that war cannot be a lasting solution to the problems between Pakistan and its neighbors, arguing that sustainable peace requires political dialogue and diplomatic mechanisms.

Khan also pointed to border closures and disruptions to trade as direct consequences of tensions between Afghanistan and Pakistan, calling on the Pakistani government to make greater efforts to resolve outstanding disputes through diplomatic channels.
