Russia Says 3 Ukrainian Drone Factories Targeted in Overnight Strikes

DID Press: Russia’s Defense Ministry said its forces targeted three facilities involved in the production of drones and drone components in the Kyiv region during overnight strikes on Ukraine.

According to the ministry, the facilities were involved in manufacturing Ukraine’s medium- and long-range unmanned aerial vehicles.

The Russian Defense Ministry also said that the strikes hit a power facility supplying the Port of Izmail and two road bridges spanning the Dniester River.

Moscow claimed the routes were being used to transport military shipments from Romania and through the Port of Izmail.

The claims could not be independently verified. Ukrainian officials confirmed widespread Russian strikes overnight on September 16–17, with damage reported in several regions, including Kyiv and Odesa. Reuters reported that Ukrainian officials said 18 people were injured, while the Associated Press reported at least 16 injuries.
