7 civilians killed in Farah


Taliban group killed seven civilians on Tuesday evening in Farah province, local officials said Wednesday.
Mohmmad Nasir Mahri, the governor’s spokesman confirmed the incident and said the shooting occurred on Tuesday at around 6pm local time in Bala Block district of Farah province.
Mahri said the Taliban stopped a passenger bus and forced seven people off the vehicle before shooting them, according to (Tolo News).
Mahri said the group closed the Farah-Herat highway for several hours. However it was eventually reopened after a military operation.
At least ten Taliban members were killed in the operation and seven others were wounded.
Local officials said the victims were residents of Farah province.
Taliban has not have commented about the incident yet.
