DAVOS meeting will be held without US president Donald Trump, Emanuel Macron, and Theresa May.
Dr. Abdullah will attend the opening ceremony of the WEF Summit and will address in several meetings on Afghanistan, the region and the world, the statement said.
According to the statement, the Executive officer will speak at the first day of the economic forum at the “Peace and Reconciliation Meeting in the Multipolar World” meeting and the “Latest Strategic Developments in South Asia”.
Mr. Abdullah will also meet with a number of prime ministers, heads of international organizations, high-ranking representatives of countries, international institutions and personalities on the side line of the meeting, the statement added.
The annual meeting of the World Economic Forum (WEF) will see the planet’s political and business elites descend on the Swiss city of Davos this week.
The WEF was set up in 1971 in Geneva by social entrepreneur Klaus Schwab. Independent and not-for-profit, it aims to bring political and business leaders together to help them collaborate on global challenges and find solutions.
Around 3,000 participants are expected for the 2019 edition, according to the WEF.
