Kabul and Mazar-e Sharif; 3 Deadly Blasts in one Day
DID Press: Capital Kabul and northern Balkh province witnessed three explosions on Thursday, with the Freedom Front claimed the responsibility for the first explosion in Kabul.
Sources said that an explosion took place in north of Kabul at about 7:00 am (local time).
Later, the Freedom Front took the responsibility by publishing a statement, saying it targeted the convoy of Taliban vehicles.
The statement added that the Front targeted the Taliban convoy when they wanted to arrest girls on the street.
Meanwhile, an explosion goes off at about 3:00 pm (local time) in Dasht-e Barchi area in west of Kabul.
The explosion occurred near a shopping mall in PD18 and reportedly 6 civilians lost their lives.
According to reports, the blast caused by an embedded mine.
At least two civilians were killed and 12 others were injured in a grenade blast in PD18 of Kabul today, a spokesman for the Kabul security department, Khalid Zadran said.
On Thursday afternoon, another explosion rocked Mazar-e Sharif, the capital of Balkh province.
The nature of this explosion is still not clear and the Taliban officials have not commented yet.
The blast took place in PD4 area in west of Mazar-e Sharif city.
According to eyewitnesses, ambulances arrived in the area and took the injured bodies to the hospital.
It is worth mentioning that this is the fifth explosion in a week.
