Poll Highlights Islamic Solidarity as Key Achievement of Unity Week

DID Press: A recent poll conducted by DID Press on the outcomes of Unity Week reveals that a vast majority of participants consider the reinforcement of solidarity among Muslims to be its most significant achievement. The findings underscore that, in today’s sensitive global context, there is an increasing recognition of the importance of unity, convergence, and cooperation within the Muslim community.

According to the data, 72 percent of respondents identified “strengthening solidarity among Muslims” as the most prominent result of Unity Week, suggesting that Islamic unity is regarded not merely as a slogan but as a broad and serious public demand across the Muslim community.

Meanwhile, 14 percent of respondents cited “countering extremism” and another 14 percent pointed to “expanding cultural and social cooperation” as significant outcomes. These responses reflect a broader emphasis not only on unity but also on resisting radical movements and promoting cultural and social ties.

Notably, none of the participants selected “reducing sectarian differences” as the main achievement. Analysts say this may indicate that public sentiment has shifted beyond sectarian divides, with greater focus placed on empathy and cooperation.

Overall, the poll underscores that for many Muslims, Unity Week represents a valuable opportunity to reinforce cohesion within the Islamic world—laying a foundation for coexistence, cooperation, and collective action in the face of global challenges.
