Reuters: Nasrallah Ended Israel’s 18-Year Occupation of South Lebanon

DID Press: Reuters, in a report marking the first anniversary of the martyrdom of Sayed Hassan Nasrallah, said that through his successful leadership, Nasrallah drove Israeli forces out of southern Lebanon in 2000, ending an 18-year occupation.

According to Reuters, Sayed Hassan Nasrallah won widespread respect among Arabs after his victory against Israel in 2006 — respect that many Arab leaders, despite commanding large armies, failed to earn following their defeats against Israel.

After 34-day war with Israel in 2006, Nasrallah described the victory as “divine,” calling it a historic achievement, the report added.
