Unidentified Drones over Kabul after Pakistani Airstrike; Taliban Silent

DID Press: Residents of Afghanistan’s capital Kabul say unidentified drones have been seen flying over Kabul sky for a second consecutive night, following a recent Pakistani airstrike on the city. Taliban government has so far remained silent on the origin or purpose of the aircraft.

According to local reports, the unmarked drones were observed over several parts of the city on Saturday night, continuing their patrols until after midnight. The identity of those operating the drones remains unknown, and Taliban officials have not issued any statement regarding the issue.

The drone activity follows Thursday night’s airstrike by Pakistani fighter jets targeting parts of Kabul. Pakistani media claimed the strike aimed at Noor Wali Mehsud, leader of Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP). Taliban confirmed that the attack had occurred and said investigations are underway.

Since the incident, reports of increased aerial activity — including drones and aircraft — have circulated among Kabul residents, raising public concern and uncertainty about ongoing security conditions in the capital.
