Mullah Hebatullah Shakes-Up Provincial and Ministerial Posts
DID Press: Taliban supreme leader Mullah Hebatullah Akhundzada has announced a series of sweeping appointments across key political, administrative, and security sectors of the Taliban government.

According to the decree, the changes include the following:
Ministry of Interior Affairs
Sheikh Mohammad Qasim Khalid, former governor of Nimroz, appointed Deputy Minister for Counter-Narcotics.
Haji Mohammad Wazir Badshah appointed Deputy Minister for Security.
Public Works and Telecommunications Ministries
Mullah Abdulhaq Hamkar, former Deputy Minister for Counter-Narcotics, appointed Deputy Minister for Finance and Administration at the Ministry of Public Works.
Hafiz Mohammad Amin Jan Omari, former governor of Badghis, appointed Deputy Minister for Finance and Administration at the Ministry of Telecommunications and Information Technology.
Mullah Mohammad Hanif Hamza, former Deputy Minister for Finance and Administration at the same ministry, appointed as the new governor of Badghis province.
Military and Security Commands
Mawlawi Abdul Qayum Rohani, former governor of Khost, appointed Commander of the 203 Mansoori Corps.
Qari Mohammad Ismail Rasikh, former 203 Mansoori Corps Commander, appointed Police Chief of Jawzjan.
Mawlawi Mohibullah Hamas, former deputy governor of Zabul, appointed Police Chief of Nangarhar.
Mawlawi Abdul Sattar Saber, former Police Chief of Jawzjan, appointed Chief of Staff of the Central 313 Corps.
Provincial Governors and Deputies
Mawlawi Abdul Manan Mahmood, former Chief of Staff of the Central 313 Corps, appointed as Governor of Nimroz province.
Mawlawi Abdullah Mukhtar, former Deputy Minister for Security, appointed as Governor of Khost.
Hafiz Sayedurrahman, former Deputy Governor of Maidan Wardak, appointed Deputy Governor of Zabul.
Mullah Faridullah Qiyam, former Police Chief of Nangarhar, appointed Deputy Governor of Maidan Wardak.
Mawlawi Sardar Mohammad Madani, former Head of Borders and Tribes in Logar, appointed Deputy Governor of Ghazni.
Hafiz Abdur Rasheed, former Deputy Governor of Ghazni, appointed Mayor of Khost.
The large-scale reshuffle marks one of the most significant administrative reorganizations since the Taliban’s return to power. Analysts believe these moves aim to consolidate Mullah Hibatullah’s control to curb the influence of Haqqani Network, led by Interior Minister Sirajuddin Haqqani, while strengthening Kandahar faction’s dominance within the Taliban hierarchy.
