Taliban Envoy to China Blames Pakistan for Regional Instability

DID Press: Taliban government’s ambassador to China, Belal Karimi, accused Pakistan of being the main source of instability in the region, warning that peace and security will remain elusive as long as the country’s ruling elite is not restrained.

In a post on X social media platform, Karimi wrote that Pakistan’s power structure functions as an “artificial entity” that acts like a “cancerous tumor” against regional stability.

He further asserted that Pakistan’s rulers have “taken their own people hostage” and turned the country into a base for ISIS activities, drug trafficking, and other destabilizing actions.

Karimi’s comments mark a sharp escalation in rhetoric between Kabul and Islamabad, reflecting the growing strain in relations since Pakistan intensified cross-border operations against militant groups and accused the Afghan Taliban of harboring Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP).
