Afghan Woman’s Organ Donation Saves Seven Lives
DID Press: Organs of a 30-year-old Afghan woman who was declared brain-dead after a severe accident have been donated with her family’s consent, saving the lives of seven patients awaiting transplants.

The woman had suffered extensive injuries in a motorcycle crash and was hospitalized in intensive care for four days before being pronounced brain-dead. Her family agreed to donate her organs, enabling seven critically ill patients to receive life-saving transplants.
Doctors said several of her vital organs were successfully transplanted and that the recipients are in stable condition.
Her family said they chose donation because “giving others a new chance at life was the best possible decision,” adding that they hope their daughter’s memory will live on through the lives she saved.
