DID Press: Abbas Araqchi, Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran, emphasized in an interview with France 2 that the deadlock in Iran’s nuclear file is not due to the absence of mediators, but rather stems from the behavior and approach of the United States.

Araqchi stated: “Regarding the nuclear issue, our problem is not the lack of mediators; the problem is the behavior of the United States. As long as this behavior does not change, how can meaningful negotiations take place?”
Highlighting the role of regional countries, he added: “Many countries, especially friendly ones, have tried to mediate, and we are in contact with all of them and appreciate their efforts. But I emphasize once again that the problem lies elsewhere.”
He stressed that as long as Washington maintains its current approach, meaningful negotiations cannot occur.
In a related development, Ali Larijani, Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, announced that Tehran is ready for serious negotiations with the U.S. regarding its nuclear file, but emphasized that Washington should not predetermine the outcome of these talks.
