DID Press: Tensions between the US and Venezuela have reached unprecedented levels as American forces prepare to intercept 18 Venezuelan supertankers, with fighter jets from both nations active along Venezuela’s coast.

Early Wednesday, U.S. jets conducted large-scale movements along Venezuela’s coastline, while the U.S. military issued a sudden no-fly notice over Venezuelan airspace. In response, Venezuelan fighters took to the skies to counter potential foreign operations.
Senior U.S. officials confirmed that preparations are underway to seize 18 Venezuelan oil tankers, escalating the already tense situation between Washington and Caracas.
Meanwhile, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko, an ally of Russia, told U.S. media outlet Newsmax that if Nicolás Maduro were to leave the Venezuelan presidency and relocate to Belarus, “the doors are open for him.” He added that U.S.–Venezuela issues could be resolved peacefully, noting: “I can understand that the U.S. is interested in Venezuela, just as Russia is sensitive about Ukraine.”
