Iran, Afghanistan Seek to Expand Educational Cooperation
DID Press: During a meeting between Iran’s cultural attaché in Kabul and the head and board members of the Science Center of Afghanistan’s Ministry of Education, the two sides emphasized expanding scientific, educational and technical cooperation and making use of shared capacities to improve education standards in Afghanistan.

Dr. Sayed Ruhollah Hosseini, cultural attaché of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Kabul, met with Dr. Mohammad Omar Douranzai, head of the Science Center at Afghanistan’s Ministry of Education, to discuss ways to enhance academic and educational cooperation between the two countries.
Hosseini highlighted Iran’s broad scientific and educational capacities and expressed Tehran’s readiness to expand cooperation among schools and universities in both countries, saying Iran could be a reliable partner in advancing Afghanistan’s academic development.
Douranzai welcomed Iran’s educational cooperation and stressed the need to further strengthen bilateral engagement in this field.
The two sides also agreed to promote the exchange of academic experience, hold joint training programs, and utilize the capabilities of specialized institutions in Iran and Afghanistan.
