Afghanistan U-19 Cricket Team Storms into World’s Top 12 with Three Straight Wins

Competing in the ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup 2026, currently underway in Namibia and Zimbabwe, Afghanistan secured three back-to-back wins in the group stage to finish top of Group D and book a place among the tournament’s six best teams.

In the Super Six round—featuring the top teams from all four groups—Afghanistan has been placed in Group 1 alongside Ireland and Sri Lanka, where they will battle for a spot in the semifinals.
