Pakistan, Iran Hold Talks on Afghanistan and Regional Trade

DID Press: Mohammad Sadiq, Pakistan’s special envoy for Afghanistan, held a virtual meeting with Mohammadreza Bahrami, Director General for South Asia at Iran’s Foreign Ministry, to discuss regional cooperation and developments in Afghanistan.

During the session, both sides exchanged views on Pakistan’s counterterrorism efforts and explored ways to enhance regional collaboration. Topics included boosting trade, expanding regional connectivity, and strengthening economic and commercial ties among neighboring countries, with particular attention to Afghanistan.

The diplomats emphasized the importance of continued dialogue and diplomatic coordination to support regional stability and security.

This meeting follows Mohammad Sadiq’s recent discussions with his Uzbek counterpart on Afghanistan and bilateral relations.
