DID Press: Shafiq Azam, an official from the Taliban’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, warned on X that efforts to overthrow Iran’s government are causing repercussions far beyond its borders, creating what he described as a “global chill.”

Azam highlighted the tangible impact on everyday life, citing rising fuel prices and market instability that motorists face at gas stations. He said the heavy costs of the conflict are directly affecting the global economy.
Referring to U.S. military expenditures, he noted that the daily cost of the war for Washington reaches approximately $1 billion, prompting the U.S. to seek financial and logistical support from other nations.
Azam stressed that, despite international pressure, Iran continues to engage in the conflict independently and remains undeterred in its course of action.
