DID Press: In its 50th statement, Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) of Iran addressed the United States over the attack on Tehran’s University of Science and Technology, declaring that all universities affiliated with Israel, as well as U.S. universities in West Asia, will henceforth be considered “legitimate targets” in response to recent attacks—limited to a maximum of two educational centers.

The statement warns that staff, professors, students, and residents within a one-kilometer radius of these institutions should keep clear.
The IRGC added that “if the U.S. government wishes for its universities in the region to remain unharmed beyond the two designated targets, it must formally condemn the bombing of Iranian universities by 12:00 PM Tehran time on Monday, March 30. Additionally, Washington must restrain its allied forces from attacking universities and research centers; otherwise, this threat remains valid and actionable.”
The statement concludes by asserting that responsibility for escalating tensions rests with Washington, and any attack on Iranian scientific institutions will be met with a retaliatory response.
