DID Press: Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan announced today, Sunday, that Mohammad Ishaq Dar, Pakistan’s Foreign Minister, held a phone call with Seyed Abbas Araqchi, Iran’s Foreign Minister, emphasizing that dialogue and diplomacy remain the only practical path to achieve lasting peace.

According to the statement, both sides exchanged views on the evolving situation in the Middle East and current developments. Ishaq Dar stressed the importance of reducing tensions, noting that halting all attacks and hostile actions by the conflicting parties is vital.
He also added that Pakistan remains committed to supporting all efforts aimed at restoring peace and stability to the region.
Meanwhile, Islamabad is hosting a quadrilateral meeting of the foreign ministers of Turkey, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, and Egypt today to discuss measures for de-escalation in the region.
