Massive Anti-War Protest in Hague Condemns US–Israeli Actions Against Iran

DID Press: A large-scale demonstration took place in downtown The Hague in opposition to the US and Israeli war against Iran.

According to TASS, the protest was organized by the grassroots group “New Peace Movement.”

Police estimates indicate that over 500 people participated. Many demonstrators carried the Iranian flag, portraits of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, and banners reading “Stop the War!” and “We Demand Immediate Peace!” Some participants also carried Palestinian flags, and speakers emphasized that the war endangers civilians not only in Iran but also in Gaza and Lebanon.

Jacob de Jonge, a representative of the New Peace Movement, said, “The United States and Israel have once again violated international law by launching a broad war against Iran.” He called on Dutch authorities to “take a clear stance against this war.”

The organizers, including 26 peace and human rights groups, are collecting signatures to urge the Dutch government to condemn U.S. and Israeli actions, refuse support, and ensure adherence to international law.

A small counter-group supporting the U.S. and Israel, carrying Israeli flags, attempted to approach the protesters, but police formed a barrier to prevent clashes. Several demonstrators were arrested for hostile behavior toward police vehicles.
