Coordinated Night of Strikes: Regional Militias Target US-Israeli Bases Across Middle East

DID Press: Since last night, amid escalating regional tensions, a wave of drone and missile attacks has been reported against U.S. bases and Israeli military positions across multiple countries in the Middle East. The attacks signal growing coordination among armed groups aligned with the so-called “Axis of Resistance” and an expansion of retaliatory actions linked to the ongoing conflict involving Iran, the United States, and Israel.

Iraq Front: Repeated Attacks on U.S. Bases

Field sources in Iraq reported repeated strikes targeting U.S. installations in Baghdad, Erbil, and areas west of the capital. The group known as the Islamic Resistance in Iraq claimed it had deployed dozens of drones and missiles in more than 20 operations within the past 24 hours, stating that the attacks were carried out in response to alleged violations of Iraqi sovereignty and the continued presence of foreign forces.

Regional Expansion: Strikes Reported Across Gulf States

In neighboring theaters, a newly formed group calling itself “Kataib Jund al-Karrar” claimed responsibility for a drone strike on the Muwaffaq al-Salti Air Base in Jordan. Meanwhile, regional sources in Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar, and the United Arab Emirates reported multiple explosions and missile attacks targeting U.S. military facilities—indicating an unprecedented geographic expansion of pressure on American forces in the region.

Lebanon and Southern Israel: Escalating Cross-Border Fire

On the Lebanese front, Hezbollah reported multiple operations targeting Israeli military positions deep inside Israeli territory. The group claimed the destruction of two Merkava tanks, an attack on a 15-member Israeli military unit, and dozens of operations reaching distances of up to 70 kilometers.

At the same time, forces in Yemen continued drone and missile attacks toward the port city of Eilat. Air-raid sirens sounded across southern Israel, while Israeli media reported damage to dozens of homes in Beersheba following a missile strike.

Political and Economic Fallout Intensifies

Politically, reactions continue following recent attacks on residential areas in Iran. Authorities in Afghanistan condemned the strikes, calling them a clear violation of humanitarian principles. In Iraq, the Coordination Framework coalition stressed the need to prevent the use of Iraqi territory for attacks against neighboring countries.

Economically, the consequences of the conflict are becoming more visible. Global energy markets reacted sharply, with Brent crude oil prices jumping by more than four dollars to $116.71 per barrel. Reports also indicate that Iran’s oil revenues have nearly doubled since the start of the recent escalation, while fuel costs in the United States have surged, placing direct pressure on household budgets.
