This initiative is considered a significant step toward strengthening the region’s capacity for rapid diagnosis and effective response to disease outbreaks in the provinces of Kunduz, Badakhshan, Baghlan, and Takhar.

The World Health Organization emphasized that timely access to healthcare and a robust surveillance system can make the critical difference between containment and crisis, playing a decisive role in preventing the spread of public health emergencies.
